Friendship with other faiths
Birmingham is one of the most diverse cities in the UK, full of people with different backgrounds and beliefs. There are large Muslim, Sikh and Hindu communities here, as well as Jews, Buddhists, Jains, Zoroastrians and other faith groups.
Our interfaith work aims to build bridges between people of different faiths so we can listen and learn from one another. Some ways in which this happens include:
- The Feast: where teenagers of different faiths come together at events to talk, have fun and make friends.
- Love Your Neighbour: a campaign set up by the Church of England – Birmingham and the Birmingham Humanists which encourages everyone to reach out and do something kind to others
- The Birmingham Conversations: a space where people of different faiths can talk about issues to do with faith and our city.
