Church Planting Conference 2019

Friday 8th November 2019

We are excited to host a church planting promotional event taking place at Gas Street Church on November 8th (10am-2pm). We will be outlining our vision for New Christian Communities in Birmingham and explain how you or your church can get involved with the many exciting opportunities taking place. The day will be inspiration with various contributors sharing their experiences of church planting… so far we have confirmed Rev. Ali Herbert (Gas Street Church) and Andrew Waddams (Gallery Church) – both of which are recent church planters into the city. We’re also thrilled to have the Bishop of Aston, Rt. Rev. Anne Hollinghurst, with us for the day as well as Rev. Calvert Prentis, Diocesan Director of Ordinands and Andrew Halstead, Diocesan Secretary. They are available to talk with you if you feel called to work with the Church of England – on hand to explain the various pathways into ministry that are currently available in Birmingham. Also present will be Dr. Jon Turner, Director of New Christian Communities, and Mark Berry, Fresh Expressions enabler, who are available to discuss the many and varied opportunities to engage in Church Planting across the Diocese. Whether you want to bring a few people from your church or come alone you are very welcome. The day will focus on church planting initiatives from the Church of England Birmingham’s perspective but is ecumenical and open to anyone interested in church planting. The day is free to attend with refreshments provided and a free lunch. Please book in asap to confirm your attendance.
