In a highly fragmented and suspicious society, what does it mean for the church to celebrate difference while also promoting the idea of how to live together well in Christ? How are the various gifts, cultures and experiences of congregations and local communities valued, so that everybody has the opportunity to deepen faith, flourish and bless others? What is required to support churches and communities where there is a commitment to live in ways that encourage different cultures to worship, live and learn together? The Diverse and United Conference aims to highlight how diversity makes a significant contribution to the life of the Church. The day will explore relevant issues and the practicalities of diverse church leadership, worship/liturgy and how to engage others. The day aims to explore what makes a thriving intentional, inclusive and intercultural faith community today.
