Persian Worship Celebration

Persian Worship Celebration

The Bishops of Durham, Loughborough and Bradford invite you to join them for a celebration service to mark the publication of a Persian (Farsi) translation of the Holy Communion service from Common Worship.

This is an opportunity to affirm the presence of Iranians as a gift, and demonstrate our commitment to ensuring they are welcomed into the life of the Church of England. All Anglican churches which have people from Iran in their congregations are invited to bring a group – Persian people, English people and those from other backgrounds are welcome, and the service will be in a mixture of Farsi and English as we worship God together. We hope you will join us as we pray for the church in Iran and mark with gratitude this new chapter in the story of Persian Anglicanism.

The contact for anyone who would like to join in is kat.brealey@churchofengland.org. The timings are to be confirmed but we anticipate the service will take place between 12noon and 4pm, preceded or followed by refreshments.
