Fundraising and Trusts
The Church of England - Birmingham is trialing the use of GRANTfinder: an online resource designed to help our churches and linked organisations identify sources of funding for activities and projects. The Diocesan Board of Finance and Thrive Together Birmingham have jointly covered the subscription cost of GRANTfinder for a one year pilot as we thought that this was a good investment to see if it could help us all to secure new funding for our work.
Funding can be difficult to find, but there are a number of sources available through charities and statutory funders. GRANTfinder is a computer program that helps us to locate them.
If you need help finding funding to support and enhance your church’s ministry, mission, youth work, community outreach and involvement, a number of diocesan officers will be able to run searches for you in relation to their particular remits but for initial enquiries please contact Debbie Browning.
Please get in touch if you would like to take advantage of this resource, tell us about the activity or project that needs funding and we will try to point you in the right direction! Unfortunately, we are not able to make grant applications on your behalf but hope that we will be able to help you discover the funding sources that could get your project off the ground.
The Allchurches Trust Limited (“ATL”) is a registered charity, providing grants in the support of churches, church establishments, religious charities and charities preserving UK heritage. ATL is also the charitable owner of the Ecclesiastical Insurance Group, which specializes in insuring churches. Ecclesiastical passes all available profits to ATL, which in turn makes grants to a wide variety of charities.
