Ageing better in Birmingham is a Lottery funded programme and offers funding for people led activities to combat loneliness and isolation and to enable older people to make friends and do things they enjoy together.
No matter how innovative or unqiue your idea is, if it is what people over 50 in your community want to do and it includes isolated people over 50 in the design of your activity, then consider applying to the Ageing Better Fund.
Ageing Better Networks are groups of people in Birmingham who are committed to help stay in touch with and look out for older people in their area.
Networks can be made up of a group of neighbours, people who know each other from their place of worship, friends, family or other groups of people who have decided to come together to make a difference. They will offer simple, practical, local support and involvement opportunities for older people.
