Domestic Abuse

Domestic Abuse is violent, sexual or controlling behaviours by over 16s who are, or have been intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender or sexuality, including financial, emotional, neglect, spiritual or online abuse, harassment or stalking.

The Church of England is committed to those who have been victims and survivors of domestic abuse and to challenging inappropriate behaviour. The safety of individuals suffering abuse or seeking help is our first priority.

If you are concerned about an individual who has, is currently, or may be experiencing domestic abuse, contact the Bishop's Safeguarding Adviser.
