Parish Safeguarding Co-ordinators
Parish Safeguarding Co-ordinators are people who speak for and on behalf of children, young people and vulnerable adults and record and report any concerns or allegations in line with the Church of England’s safeguarding policy. They also help their church to implement its safeguarding policy and make sure volunteers and workers are safely recruited, trained and are following good practice.
If you’re a new Parish Safeguarding Co-ordinator please get in touch with the safeguarding team at firstname.lastname@example.org – we aim to meet all new Co-ordinators to support you in your role.
As well as safeguarding training for Co-ordinators, we have an annual resourcing day and twice yearly surgeries for you to network with others in the same role, ask the safeguarding team questions and find out what’s happening in the Church of England and will send you e-newsletters to keep you up to date.
