Services and Seasons

Most churches have at least one act of worship each week which often, although certainly not always, happens on a Sunday. But there are loads of particular opportunities throughout the year to celebrate or remember. Whatever your tradition and whatever you're choosing to mark—be it Harvest, Christmas or your Patron Saint—making it memorable can be a great opportunity to connect with people who are not yet part of your church community.

Alongside these, life events like a wedding, a christening or a funeral are great opportunities to make a special connection with people from your parish, and wider afield, as they mark highs and lows in their lives.

These can be great missional opportunities and this part of the Resource Hub will give you some ideas for making the most of them.

"To make the most of opportunities presented by the occasional offices, the church calendar and invitational events."

  • Making the most of Weddings

    Making the most of Christenings

    Making the most of Funerals

  • Making more of occasional contacts.
