The Bishop of Birmingham’s second discipleship conference for lay people will equip participants to be:
Inviting Disciples who attract others to Christian Faith by how they live and act and by what they say;
Inviting Disciples who can share in relationships with others something of the core of their Christian;
Inviting Disciples who are able to invite others to enter into Christian Faith and Church life.
The day will give encouragement, confidence and support to lay people to enable them share their Christian Faith with others.
There will be time for participants to worship together and opportunities to share their Christian faith with each other.

My Story
In the lead up to the conference we will be hearing stories from lay people around the Diocese.
“As part of planning the Bishop’s Lay Conference the planning group were asked to think about their faith story, the path that had led to where they are now and significant moments along the way. This was a really good experience taking time to personally think about my own faith story but more so having the opportunity to share it with others and hear other peoples story as well. I hope the lay conference is a time where others are able to go through this process of getting to understand their own story, share it and hear what others have shared.”
