Four Malawian Bishops Mark the 50th Anniversary of Partnership

To mark the 50th anniversary we invited the four Malawian bishops: +Alinafe, +Brighton, +Fanuel and +Francis to the UK. They were in Birmingham from 7 to 15 May, staying as guests of parishes across the Diocese: Boldmere, Edgbaston, Hall Green, Harborne, Maney, Polesworth, Quinton, Solihull and Warley Woods.

The bishops’ schedule in their host parishes included preaching and addressing meetings, visits to schools, and meals and outings with parishioners. They took part in two shared Bible studies with Bishop David and Bishop Maurice Sinclair, and had discussions on the future of the partnership from which they produced a joint statement which they signed in a special celebration service held at Birmingham Cathedral on Sunday 15 May.
