Urban Estates Mission Enabler

We are pleased to let you know that Andy Delmege is taking on the part-time role of Urban Estates Mission Enabler, working in Paula Gooder’s new Mission Learning and Development Team. Andy will also continue to minister at St Bede’s Brandwood.

Andy has worked and ministered in estates for many years, notably as Vicar of St Bede's, Brandwood and as Priest in Charge at St Gabriel's, Weoley Castle. He convenes Strengthening Estates Ministry, the group for leaders of estate churches in Church of England Birmingham, sits on the Renewal and Reform Estates Evangelism Task Group, and is Chair of the National Estate Churches Network. He has overseen the adoption of Jesus Shaped People by a good number of our estate and urban parishes over the past few years.

Andy says “I am excited and humbled to be taking on this new role. I am looking forward to the chance to engage more deeply with our estate parishes, to continue learning from them, to celebrate their life and mission and to see us all participating ever more in the work of God. I look forward to working with the new Mission and Learning Development Team. A key part of my new role is supporting Jesus Shaped People in Birmingham. This is a programme that has really helped parishes flourish and get on the move. If you are interested in this, please get in touch.
