New Mission Apprentices

We are delighted to announce that 9 Mission Apprentices have been recruited and will take up their roles in September 2018.

The Allchurches Trust Mission Apprentice Scheme is supported by the Allchurches Trust and aims to raise up a new generation of missional leaders who will grow local churches and expand missional outreach in the community. An emphasis of the scheme is to identify and encourage home-grown talent – people from the parishes in which they will serve – and we are particularly encouraged to be able to appoint 7 internal candidates who are already rooted in their community and church.

The Mission Apprentices and the parishes that they will serve are:

Chloe Hewett – Holy Cross, Billsley
Fiona Allen - St John and St Michael, Langley
Jody-Ann Frazer – St John and St Peter, Ladywood
Lizzie Steele – Bishop Latimer, Winson Green
Lou Bayliss - St. David’s, Shenley Green
Mandy Widdas - St. Editha’s, Amington
Marie Ford – St. Gabriel’s, Weoley Castle
Ricky Sandford – St Clements, Castle Bromwich
Sian Mehlmann – St Luke’s, Great Colmore Street

We ask for your prayers for the Mission Apprentices, supervisors and churches as they make the journey together, to bring Christ’s message into the heart of their communities.

We’ll be holding a Commissioning Service with Bishop Anne at St. Luke’s, Great Colmore Street 3pm Sunday 9th September 2018. All are welcome to attend. We’ll be sharing food together afterwards, so if you plan on attending please fill out our online form.
