Rhiannon King – new appointment

We are delighted to announce that the Revd Rhiannon King has been appointed as Archdeacon of Ipswich, a post she will be taking up in the Spring.

Rhiannon will be heading up a new initiative, 'Inspiring Ipswich’. Her work will focus on helping the Deanery of Ipswich, in the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, to flourish in its mission and to “grow in God”. She will be working with the Bishops, clergy and lay leaders to help revitalise many existing churches and to plant 25 new worshipping communities over the next six years.

Rhiannon came to CofE Birmingham in 2010 as Transforming Church Co-ordinator and has been Director of Mission for the last four years. She is an inspirational and visionary colleague. We are sorry to lose her and are sure that her experience here will have prepared her well for the new role. Rhiannon goes with our appreciation, love and prayer for God’s blessing as she continues to witness to Jesus Christ in her new ministry.
