#FollowTheStar is the Church of England’s Advent and Christmas campaign which encourages everyone to follow in the footsteps of the Wise Men on their journey to meet Jesus. There are resources and daily reflections, starting on Christmas Eve and ending on the Epiphany (6 January).
Many Churches participated in #FollowTheStar last year and found it a great way to connect with their local community. If you are interested in being part of #FollowTheStar here are 5 quick things that your church can do to prepare this year:
Update your ‘A Church Near You’ page with your Advent and Christmas services and events. A Church Near You is visited more that 12 million times each year and 81 per cent of people who visit the site are first time visitors, so there is a huge opportunity to encourage your local community to come along this festive season.Tag your services with the hashtag #FollowTheStar
