Nominate a 'Children, Young People and their Families minister' for RECOGNISE

RECOGNISE is a national opportunity to thank, celebrate and recognise everyone who ministers to children, young people and their families, whether as volunteers or paid workers. Across our churches, schools and communities, many people faithfully invest in the lives of children and young people, and this week is about honouring and encouraging them.

As part of the celebrations, two special RECOGNISE parties will take place this summer. CofE Birmingham will be taking part in the Southern Province at Lambeth Palace on 9 July.

We are inviting nominations for volunteers and employed CYPF ministers who you feel deserve recognition for the difference they make in the lives of children, young people and families.

We would particularly love to hear about people who:

  • faithfully serve behind the scenes
  • inspire and encourage young people in faith
  • have shown dedication, creativity or compassion in their ministry
  • make a lasting impact in their church, school or community

If you would like to nominate someone, complete this short form and submit nominations by 31 May 2026.

If your church would like to go a step further, our Volunteer Sunday resources can help you create a whole service of thanksgiving for everyone who volunteers across the life of your church and community. The resources include service elements, celebration ideas, and thank-you cards to send to your volunteers. All to help churches celebrate and commission volunteers of all ages and ministries. You can find them on the Toolshed website
