We are seeking a dedicated and organized Parish Church Administrator. This role is vital to the smooth running of our parishes, offering a unique opportunity to support the ministry and congregation.
Hours: 20 hours per week, Tuesday – Friday.
Salary: £15,600 Per annum.
Holiday: 23 days pro rata including public holidays
The Key responsibilities of this position include:
• Managing the church office;
• Providing administrative support for the Vicar and the PCC officers
• Handling internal and external information, communication, and technology
• Coordinating Church building hire and events;
• Acting as the point of initial contact within the Church
• Mobilising ministry volunteers.
Personal attributes should include:
• Willingness to support the mission, vision, and values of the churches through administrative tasks
• Willingness to take responsibility and be part of a team;
• Able to work well with a broad and diverse range of people and context.
• Financial Management:
Assist with financial administration and record-keeping under the guidance of the Vicar
• Communication:
Digital and Print. Serve as the primary point of contact for the congregation, visitors, and external contacts.
• Community Engagement:
Support the church's outreach and community initiatives.
Ideal Candidate:
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word Excel and Outlook; Canva and other relevant software.
• Experience in administrative or office management roles.
• A strong commitment to Christian faith and the church's mission.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability and discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters
• A willingness to get involved in the church family.
• Some Familiarity with the Church of England structures
