Minor Repairs & Improvement Fund
The Diocese of Birmingham has secured up to £176,000 for the Minor Repairs and Improvements Grant. The fund is being offered by the Archbishop’s Council under the Building for Mission project, supported by the Church Commissioners’ funding. The fund is to be distributed between 2024-2025.
Grants of £5K are available to all PCCs to apply for, the grant value could rise to £10k (£12K for unlisted churches) depending on the eligibility of parishes in line with the deprivation index. This is outlined further in the supporting eligibility criteria documents.
The purpose of the grant is to prioritise urgent repairs to assist parishes in the upkeep of their buildings through a minor ‘stitch in time’. Any PCC can make an application provided their project meets the eligibility criteria, but the grant panel will prioritise repairs depending on need.
