There are over 150 licensed Readers (Licensed Local Ministers) in Church of England Birmingham sharing with ordained colleagues in a diverse range of contexts and ministries.
The Warden of Readers leads a team of one Co-Warden and six Deanery Wardens. Together they work on behalf of the Bishop of Birmingham to support, promote and develop Reader Ministry in CofE Birmingham. The Warden also represents the Bishop in matters concerning Readers in the national church.
