The Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC) and Pastoral Secretary is a key role in overseeing the statutory processes covering our churches and parishes, including the work of the Diocesan Mission and Pastoral Committee (DMPC), along with the management, maintenance, revitalisation, and development of our church buildings. In addition to supporting the needs of the statutory committees, the post holder will play a vital role in assisting incumbents and churchwardens as they seek permission for a variety of projects, ensuring that our churches are well maintained and developed.
The Youth Outreach Pastor (GS St Luke’s) will lead on developing and implementing a strategic approach to youth outreach in the local area around Gas Street St Luke’s. This will include exploring opportunities for detached youth work and other outreach initiatives, with the aim of meaningfully engaging young people and helping them take steps closer to Jesus.
The Gas Street Music (GSM) Manager will advance and expand GSM, elevating its impact, reach, and operational effectiveness.
The Head of Operations will oversee the day-to-day activities of Gas Street Church across locations and ministries; ensuring efficiency, compliance and a high standard of execution & excellence.
The Bishop of Birmingham wishes to appoint an ordained Discipleship Pastor (Plants & Locations) to provide spiritual and pastoral oversight for discipleship strategy across Birmingham, St Luke’s Gas Street and associated churches.

In the next few months, Church of England Birmingham is likely to be appointing ordained applicants, usually as Associates, to play key roles in church plants and revitalisations.
The ideal candidate will be keen and able to play for 2-3 Sunday services per month and Occasional Offices when required, be open to exploring fresh ways of using music to enhance worship, and to also accompany our choir.
