Bishops’ Prayer Network: A dispersed Community of Intercession

Watch the video, here, of Bishop Michael and Bishop Ester encouraging us to become part of the Prayer Network.

We believe God is calling us into deeper prayer for our city, our churches, and our communities. The Bishops’ Prayer Network will be made up of at least 24 (many more welcome, but a minimum of 24) committed intercessors, people whose longing to see lives changed, justice restored, and the name of Jesus lifted high across Birmingham and beyond is expressed through prayer.

As part of the network, you’ll join others in praying regularly, covering four Prayer Weeks across the year, when we will have 24-hour prayer vigils, as well as being ready to respond in times of urgent need. This is about building a culture where prayer isn’t just something we do, but the heartbeat of our diocese.

Come and join us for the launch event, where we’ll pray together, hear the vision, and acknowledge our dependence on God. Whether you're a seasoned intercessor or simply feel God nudging you to pray more intentionally, this invitation is for you. The Bishops' Prayer Network is open to all traditions.

Come and join us on 1 September at 7.30pm at St Barnabas, Erdington.
