Priest in Charge (0.5) Erdington, St Chad

St Chad’s is a welcoming and inclusive parish and LEP (Anglican- Methodist) in the Erdington suburb of Birmingham (about 4 miles north of the city centre). The Bishop of Birmingham is seeking a faith filled, prayerful and energetic minister to be our next priest to be our next 0.5 priest in charge. We long to grow spiritually, numerically and also increase our engagement with the local community and especially with young people, schools and young families. We are a committed part of the newly established Erdington oversight area and have also begun an exciting mission shaped redevelopment project with our buildings.


Vicar - Erdington, Christ the King

Christ the King parish is a welcoming outer estate parish to the north of Erdington serving the areas of Short Heath and Perry Common. The Bishop of Birmingham is seeking a faithful, compassionate and empathetic priest to be our next incumbent. The parish is firmly established at the heart of each community it serves and is ready and very keen to grow in prayer, discipleship and in exploring more ways to share the love of God with local people and especially with young people and young families.


Vicar - Perry Beeches, St Matthew

St Martin’s Trustees as Patrons seek a Vicar for this largely residential outer estate parish (population c 15,300) 5 miles north-west of Birmingham city centre, with typical schools, varied housing, shops and parks. The base for its life and outreach is a modern Grade 2 listed hexagonal church building with adjoining community hall, facing the James Watt Campus of Birmingham Metropolitan College.


Giving and Generosity Support Officer

Church of England Birmingham (CofEB) is on a journey of growing churches at the heart of every community. Through this we are seeing growth in many exciting ways. Financially we are at a challenging point. We have recently recruited a new Head of Generosity, who is also Bishops Advisor for Common Fund, to lead on this work and we are now looking to recruit the team to work with them. Together this team will work with all of our parishes to roll out our financial approach, through in person meetings, and the support that is on offer as part of this.
