Rector - Handsworth, St Mary

3rd April 2024

The Bishop of Birmingham wishes to appoint the next Rector of St Mary’s Handsworth.

The significant and beautifully re-ordered church (Grade 2*) is at the heart of the diverse, multi-faith and inner city suburb of Birmingham.

There are strong links to its Church of England primary school, and an expanding musical life, and the new incumbent will be a priest of vibrant faith and vision, who can lead, enrich and expand the outreach and ministry in the parish, which has a population of 15,688. The long-standing Handsworth Group Ministry is now developing as an Oversight Area within the Church of England Birmingham framework.
